The key to the installation technology of the submersible sediment pump is to determine the installation height of the pump. This height refers to the vertical distance from the water surface of the water source to the centerline of the impeller of the pump. It cannot be confused with the allowable suction vacuum height. The allowable suction vacuum height marked on the pump nameplate or product manual refers to the vacuum value on the water inlet section of the pump, and It is measured under the condition of 1 standard atmospheric pressure and water temperature of 20 degrees Celsius.

It does not consider the water flow conditions after the suction pipe is matched. The installation height of the water pump should be the remaining value after deducting the loss lift of the suction pipe from the suction vacuum height, which should overcome the actual topographical suction height.

The installation height of the water pump cannot exceed the calculated value, otherwise, the water pump will not be able to pump water. In addition, the influence on the calculated value is the resistance loss head of the suction pipe. Therefore, it is advisable to adopt a short pipe layout and install as few elbows and other accessories as possible. It may also be considered to properly equip a water pipe with a larger diameter to reduce the flow rate in the pipe.

It should be pointed out that when the elevation and water temperature of the sand pump installation site are different from the test conditions, for example, the local altitude is above 300 meters or the temperature of the pumped water exceeds 20 degrees Celsius, the calculated value should be corrected. That is, the atmospheric pressure at different altitudes and the saturated vapor pressure when the water temperature is higher than 20 degrees Celsius. However, when the water temperature is below 20 degrees Celsius, the saturated vapor pressure is negligible.

From the perspective of pipeline installation technology, the water suction pipeline requires strict sealing, no air or water leakage, otherwise it will destroy the vacuum degree at the water inlet of the sediment pump, reduce the water output of the water pump, and even fail to pump water in severe cases. Therefore, it is necessary to do a good job in the interface work of the pipeline to ensure the construction quality of the pipeline connection.

How to install the pump room of the submersible sediment pump:

  1. Generally speaking, 4 submersible sediment pumpcan be installed in the pump room. The distance between the pumps is about 3 meters, which is more appropriate. The overall length of the pump room is about 20 meters;
  2. Generally speaking, it is more appropriate to set the elevation of the bottom plate of the pump room to 24 meters. This is because when the pump stops running, the water level of the sump often needs to be 1 meter lower than the middle axis of the sewage pipe, and the water depth needs to reach about 2 meters. ;
  3. In the water collection room, one needs to be used as a backup when installing the pump, so that the other one can be replaced in time even if there is a problem during use. The submersible slurry pump is placed in the sump pit When inside, just set the ground height to 21 meters;
  4. The pump room is composed of the machine room and the sump. It is necessary to ensure that the distance between the equipment is about 4.2m, and the width between the sump should also be kept at 4.3m;
  5. During the construction of the water collection well, the length is set to be about 20 meters, the width is also 4 meters, and the water depth needs to be about 2 meters.
  6. The machines need to be divided into two grids, in which a gate needs to be installed, and a trash net should be installed at a distance of 2.5 meters from the wall.

Overhaul of submersible sediment pump components:

Technical standards for overhaul of couplings: The couplings of sediment pumps mainly include rigid couplings, toothed couplings and elastic couplings, which are described below:

Rigid couplings are generally used on centrifugal pumps with small power. When overhauling, first remove the connecting bolts and rubber elastic rings. For liquids with low temperature, the plane gap between the two coupling halves is 2.2~4.2mm, and the When it is high, it should be 1.55~2.05mm larger than the shaft displacement. The rubber elastic ring of the coupling should be 0.15~0.35mm smaller than the diameter of the perforation. At the same time, you must use special tools when disassembling and assembling, keep it clean, and no scratches are allowed.

Toothed coupling: The toothed coupling is more flexible and has automatic centering performance. The maintenance is generally carried out as follows:

  1. Check the meshing condition of the tooth surface of the coupling. The contact area is not less than 50% along the tooth height and not less than 70% along the tooth width. The tooth surface must not have serious pitting, wear and cracks.
  2. The full circle run out of the outer ring gear of the coupling is not more than 0.03mm, and the end face circular run out is not more than 0.02mm.
  3. If the ring gear needs to be removed, special tools must be used instead of knocking, so as not to bend or damage the shaft. When reassembling, the ring gear should be heated to about 200°C and then installed on the shaft. The interference between the outer ring gear and the shaft is generally 0.01~0.03mm.
  4. When reassembling the intermediate sleeve or other parts, it should be assembled according to the original marks and data.
  5. Tighten the bolts evenly with a torque wrench.

Diaphragm elastic coupling:

  1. Clean and check the surface of the two half-couplings. There should be no cracks or wear on them. The surface matching the middle spacer should be smooth and free of burrs. The deviation of the coaxiality of the two half-couplings should be less than 0.003mm.
  2. Clean and check the spring leaf, there should be no cracks or deformation.
  3. Clean and check the bolts, the surface should be free from cracks, wear and deformation. 4. Alignment requirements: axial ±0.03mm, radial ±0.05mm.
