The submersible sand suction pump is also called a submersible dredge pump. The submersible sand suction pump is a vertical sand suction working pump that is coaxial with the motor and the water pump. The motor adopts water-cooled motor, and the sealing and insulation of the motor reach the national industrial standard. Submersible sand suction pump is favored by users because of their simple operation, low noise, high efficiency and wear resistance. It is mostly used in industries such as tailing cleaning, river dredging, river and lake sand pumping, and sea reclamation. With the development of technology and the subdivision of the industry, the submersible sand suction pump has developed a variety of structural types suitable for different working conditions after years of technical accumulation. This article will focus on three different types of submersible centrifugal sand pump and suitable working conditions for users’ reference.
1.Normal submersible sand suction pump
This type of submersible sand suction pump was first developed and manufactured for use in the Yellow River bed dredging. At the mouth of the lower Yellow River, sediment accumulates all the year round, constantly raising the river bed. In order to prevent the occurrence of floods, rivers are dredged every year. From the Yellow River to the mouth of the sea, the flow rate of the water gradually decreases, and the sedimentation speed of the sediment increases. The sand is usually powdery surface sand with a small diameter (less than 1mm). Residents live along the Yellow River. If sand pumping equipment driven by other diesel engines is used to work, it will be noisy and cause serious pollution. Therefore, motor-driven submersible centrifugal sand pumps come into being. The sand suction pump of this structure is driven by a motor, and the pump casing is transformed from the slurry pump casing as a prototype. The motor and the pump are coaxially integrated. There is a stirring impeller at the bottom of the pump body, which can stir the deposited sludge into turbulent flow, and increase the sand concentration of the sand suction pump without the help of other external forces. The whole submersible sand dredge pump can be completely submerged into the water for operation with low noise and pollution.
Since this type of submersible sand suction pump was first used for the Yellow River dredging, the flow passage of this pump is relatively small, and the general flow particle size is between 10-60mm, which is suitable for pumping smaller particle sizes. Small working conditions. It is not recommended to use under the conditions of big particles or garbage, it is prone to blockage.
Nowadays, due to the more extensive sand suction conditions, more and more people in this industry will use sand suction pumps. However, in the case of river dredging or for working conditions with pebbles, conventional submersible centrifugal sand pumps are not suitable for such working conditions because the diameter of particles allowed to pass is too small. Therefore, in response to this big particle and multi-impurity working condition, our company’s engineers improved the existing submersible pump and launched a new big particle submersible dredge pump.
2.Big particle submersible sand suction pump
The diameter of particles allowed by conventional submersible sand suction pump is generally between 10-60mm, most of which are around 21mm. When the diameter of the extracted medium is larger than the maximum particle size or there are large garbage branches, the bottom sand screen will be blocked by stone particles or garbage, which will affect the use of the sand suction pump. If the sand screen is removed, pebbles or garbage entering the pump casing will jam the impeller, causing damage to the impeller and increasing the difficulty of cleaning. Based on the advantages of conventional submersible sand suction pumps, our company optimizes the pump structure for the working conditions with big particles and the working environment with garbage and weeds, which greatly improves the flow capacity of the submersible centrifugal sand pump. The largest passing particle can reach 178mm.
The big particle submersible dredge pump is upgraded on the basis of the original submersible sand suction pump and big particle suction pump. First of all, the pump casing and impeller of the big particle sand suction pump were modified to replace the original submersible sand suction pump casing and impeller, and the number of impeller blades was changed from 4 to 3. This makes the width of the flow channel greatly increased, and general particles and garbage weeds are no longer easy to cause blockage. Second, the thickness of the pump casing, impeller and guard plate is increased, and the wear resistance of the sand suction pump is improved. Third, in order to obtain better passability, the stirring impeller at the bottom of the submersible centrifugal sand pump is removed, so that the suction port of the sand pump directly contacts the sand layer. Fourth, hydraulic drive has also been added to the drive power. The hydraulic drive has stable input power and strong anti-overload capability. Motor drive and hydraulic drive can be flexibly selected, and power configuration can be made according to actual working conditions.
The big particle submersible sand suction pump is especially suitable for working conditions that contain more particles and more weeds. The unique structure design solves the problem of impeller blockage. Agitators and high-pressure water pipes can also be installed on both sides of the pump body for better matching effect. In view of the large specific gravity of big particle media, if too big particles are extracted, precipitation is likely to occur during the transportation process, causing pipeline blockage. Therefore, the currently submersible centrifugal sand pumps are available in 6-inch, 8-inch and 10-inch models, with the largest particles passing through 82mm, 127mm and 178mm respectively. And when using this type of sand suction pump to pump media containing big particles, it is not recommended to use a single pump to transport too far, and it can work with other land relay pumps.
When the motor-driven submersible dredge pump is operated underwater, because of its low visibility and complicated underwater working conditions, sometimes the motor overloads due to high concentration may occur. If the operator does not stop the machine in time for adjustment, it is easy to burn the motor. Moreover, the pumping concentration of the motor-driven submersible sand suction pump is not very stable, and it is not suitable for use in some construction environments lacking power. Many construction sites now use excavators for sand dredging and dredging. Based on this, our company has developed a hydraulic submersible centrifugal sand pump that can be installed on the excavator for customers to choose from.
3.Excavator hydraulic submersible dredge pump
The hydraulic submersible sand suction pump for excavators is a new product developed and manufactured by our company. It is mainly used as an accessory device for excavators. It is used when there is more water, silt and mortar are not conducive to excavation and transportation is inconvenient. Extract the job. This pump type greatly improves work efficiency, and is widely used in inland waterway dredging projects, port silt treatment, sand pumping in tailings ponds, mineral processing, municipal sewers, etc.
The hydraulic submersible centrifugal sand pump produced by our company is suitable for small, medium and large series excavators such as 120, 150, 220, 240, 300, 330, 350, and can also be equipped with hydraulic stations. The hydraulic submersible pump is mostly suitable for working conditions such as harsh environments, water-rich excavators cannot effectively dig, long-distance transportation of mud and mortar, insufficient power supply, and frequent transitions.
The hydraulic submersible centrifugal sand pump is a new type of submersible dredge pump that is powered by a hydraulic system, and the motor is the executive element, which converts hydraulic energy into mechanical energy. When working, the water pump stirs the rotation of the impeller to transfer energy to the slurry medium to generate a certain flow rate, thereby driving the solid matter to flow and realizing the transportation of the slurry. The hydraulic motor in the submersible centrifugal sand pump usually selects domestic high-speed CMZ series gear motor or quantitative plunger motor. This type of motor has the characteristics of advanced structure, reasonableness, good performance, high efficiency and stable operation. Secondly, the engineer will select hydraulic pumps with different flow and power according to the customer’s working conditions.
- There is a stirring device at the bottom of the pump, and two or more monomer stirrers can be equipped at the same time. The purpose of adding a stirrer is to prevent large pieces of solid matter from blocking the pump, so that the solid and liquid in the extracted medium are fully mixed, so that it is easier to extract and transport.
- The hydraulic submersible centrifugal sand pump can pass solid materials with a maximum particle size of 60mm, and the solid-liquid extraction concentration can reach more than 70%;
Note: Due to different working conditions, the output of the pump may also vary with the influence of factors such as the processed medium, on-site operation, and transportation distance.
- The hydraulic submersible sand suction pump is mainly installed on the excavator, and the power is provided by the hydraulic power of the excavator, which can realize free transition. And the power source is a diesel engine, so there is no need to worry about insufficient power when constructing in remote areas.
- Flow parts: the pump casing, impeller, guard plate, and mixing impeller are all made of high chromium alloy materials. Other materials can be customized.
- The submersible centrifugal sand pump adopts a unique sealing device to avoid frequent replacement of mechanical seals and improve work efficiency.
Advantages (Compared with electric submersible dredge pumps):
- The hydraulic transmission has small inertia and fast response speed, which can realize a wide range of stepless speed regulation;
- The overload protection can be realized automatically, and there is no motor burning phenomenon;
- The concentration of solids such as mortar, mud sand, slag, etc. is high, which can reach more than 70%;
- It can be connected to machines with hydraulic systems such as excavators to achieve free transition, especially in remote areas when the power is insufficient, the advantages are more obvious;
- The submersible centrifugal sand pump can be used as an accessory of the excavator, it can be extracted and transported long-distance when it is not suitable for working with a bucket, so as to improve the value of the excavator.
